EDITORS NOTES

EDITORS NOTES
The Swim Challenge Series has evolved into South Africa’s premier open water swimming series. Originally developed as seeding events for the Midmar Mile, the series has introduced a competitive aspect into a discipline that was previously regarded as a recreational sport. A number of the swims are now regional and national open water swimming championships, and there are various recreational events on offer. The Bela-Bela 1000 is a seeding event for the 2010 Midmar Mile. At the time of going to print there was some uncertainty around the date for this swim. Please consult www.swimmersguide.co.za to confirm.
