The Swim Challenge Series has evolved into South Africa’s premier open water swimming series. Originally developed as seeding events for the Midmar Mile, the series has introduced a competitive aspect into a discipline that was previously regarded as a recreational sport. A number of the swims are now regional and national open water swimming championships, and there are various recreational events on offer.
