Synchronised Swimming: Seven northern hemisphere countries now use South Africa as a venue for training camps. The reason being our warm summer weather during their cold winters. We caught up with Italy’s National Synchro team (in Pretoria) as they prepared for the Fina World Champs.
Speedo Prestige Champs: Many of our countries top swimmers competed at this event which takes place each year at the Kings Park Pool in Durban. (It was the last competition before the SA Squad jetted off to Rome for the Fina World Champs)
Cameron vd Burgh’s performance at the Fina World Champs once again shows how much talent this young man has. We see him in action breaking the world 50m breaststroke record back in April of this year at the SA Nationals – he then gives a message to parents of young swimmers.
Disabled Swimming: Dea Slattery speaks to us about the importance of disabled swimmers being able to compete with their able team mates.
On Sunday (2 Aug) Gerhard Zandberg will defend his title in the 50m Backstroke event at the World champs in Rome. To finish the programme we take a look at that race, 2 years ago in Melbourne – Australia.
